Are you ever asked if you are "Uncle Bob from Fangoria?" I ask because of the coincidence of our names, and the fact that I was known as "Uncle Bob" to thousands of magazine readers in the early 1980s.

Since our politics differ quite a bit, I would hope you can find a way to distinguish yourself.

When we finally withdraw from Iraq, the bloodshed that follows will not be the responsibility of those of us who knew what a terrible idea the invasion was from day one. Vietnam, no different.

H. Clinton: When asked why she voted for the war she said she didn’t know she was voting for a preemptive war, and that the President misused the authority that was given to him.

This is what I have been trying to tell everybody. Hillary Clinton is a hipocrite. I don't think the war was a good idea, but Clinton going around playing Mrs. Goody Good shoes, this is nothing but bull.

Do you happen to have any URL for Clinton's exact quote on that? Or remember a specific date or place so that I can look it up? I would like to get her exact words so I can use it to show other people what a hipocrite she is. TIA

You also might like "MI-5," seasons 1, 2, 3.... (a sort of BBC "24"). Try the original "La Fea Mas Bella", it's on now, though it's been on since last Jan. Or, for some values/moral wrestling, there's "Ballykissangel," seasons 1, 2, and 3.

Yet, if you really want to get stimulated, try "The Decalogue". Then try, in order, "The Double Life of Veronique", "Blue", "White", "Red" all by Krzysztof Kieslowski (and then anything else by him).

I love "House", esp., season 1. But, I wonder if it won't be jumping the shark very soon.

We should write a manual then, on how to properly behave like a NorteAmericano.

Then Mexicanos should pass some tests in order to get US citizenship.

Also we should put Good Looking Girl as one of the tests. I bet she would prefer some Mexicano behavior from time to time.

It's not as simple as numbers though is it? The potential good in one case is not comparable to the potential bad in another. If a good parent is told he/she/both can talk it over with their child, but that conversation may not have much affect anyhow. In addition a good parent should be having that conversation about contraception without having to catch their child red handed first.

On the other hand, a bad parent may hurt or otherwise abuse their child. That prospect will scare many children away from contraception (though probably not sex). And it won't just be the children with bad parents, it will be many of the children with good parents, either because they don't understand the difference between their friends parents and their own, or their simply avoiding something they find embarassing, awkward, or otherwise uncomfortable.
